In February of 2025, we announced that we’ll be joining with other Midwestern Sonepar companies to form one Echo Electric brand across nine states. We’ll continue to operate as two separate Echo brands with separate websites until we combine in 2026. As a customer, you can continue doing business with the Echo you recognize.

The Announcement

Sonepar Combines 5 of Its Midwest Operations Under the Echo Brand

In a transformative move, Sonepar is combining 5 brands in the Midwest under a bold new Echo Electric brand. Holt, Pepco, Richards Electric, Springfield Electric, and Echo Electric Supply will join to become a single platform across 9 states and 500,000 square miles with 1,300 associates and $1.2 billion in sales.


Echo Electric’s President will be Chris Scarbrough, who has led Springfield Electric for the last ten years.

Chris shared: “An ‘echo’ is a lasting impression. We’re building on the legacies of these five companies by bringing them together with one vision, one culture, one strategy, and one brand. This move solidifies Sonepar as the distributor of choice across the Midwest; the future of Echo will show continued success.”


A Growing Network

Echo Electric Supply is the result of a strategic rebrand, bringing together trusted Midwest distributors:


  • April 2025 – Holt Electrical, Richards Electric, and Springfield Electric rebranded as Echo Electric.
  • April 2025 - Echo Electric Supply has upgraded into new systems built on a different website, working under the same region as before.
  • June 2025 – Pepco transitions to Echo Electric.
  • March 2026 – Echo Group Inc. (Echo Electric Supply) rebrands.


Realistically this type of unification takes hard work, commitment, patience, and communication. Our people will continue to work on keeping our customers up to date with the latest information.
